Job Title: Chemist QC Associate – Pharma Lab

Location: Local Candidates Preferred

Employment Type: Contract W2

Pay: $25-$26/hr

Role Overview:

BEPC Inc. is actively looking for a Quality Control Chemist with a strong background in chemistry to support a client’s analytical laboratory operations. This role is designed to cover a long-term leave with the potential to extend or transition to a full-time role. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced lab environment, is self-motivated, asks thoughtful questions, and is attentive to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct analytical testing of raw materials and finished goods using methods such as FT-IR, UV, Karl Fischer, pH analysis, and other wet chemistry techniques.
• Execute tests in alignment with compendial and internal procedures.
• Document test results accurately following Good Documentation Practices and Data Integrity Principles.
• Identify and initiate out-of-specification (OOS) investigations.
• Communicate findings and anomalies to senior analysts and supervisors.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team leads to meet daily deliverables.
• Maintain lab safety standards and follow appropriate waste disposal protocols.

Qualifications:

• 1–5 years of Quality Control experience in a pharmaceutical or related industry.
• Strong background in chemistry; experience with FT-IR, UV, Karl Fischer, and wet chemistry testing preferred.
• Familiarity with pharmacopeial standards (USP, EP, JP) and Chempedia systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Life Science with at least 2 years of lab experience.
• OR Associate degree in Chemistry/Life Science with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience.

Contract Details:

• Pay Rate: $25–$26/hr with weekly pay.
• Duration: 1 year with possible extension/conversion to permanent.
• Hours: Preferred shift is early morning (start as early as 6:30 AM); flexibility from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM
• Interviews: 2 rounds (1 virtual, 1 on-site)
• Travel: Not required
