The Opportunity

McDermott + Bull is looking for a dynamic and experienced recruiter with a proven track record of success recruiting for executive and leadership roles. This role requires an energetic individual who has an entrepreneurial mindset and can build rapport and develop relationships with executives across all functions and in various industries.

You will be instrumental in matching the right talent with our client organizations and their cultures, using your expertise to find the executive that will make an impact.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end project management for search engagements following the firm’s workflow, objectives, and key results while collaborating closely with search team members.
  • Participate in external and internal executive search engagement kick-off meetings.
  • Occasionally attend off-site external executive search engagement kick-off meetings at client company, with internal partners.
  • Evaluate and source executive candidate profiles, by using Boolean Strings for specific criteria such as: title, location, current or past company, company size, education, degree, keywords, and industry within LinkedIn Recruiter or other search engines.
  • Engage in candidate prospecting activities, including LinkedIn messaging, direct phone calls, email outreach, text messaging, and networking.
  • Maintain and update candidate contact information, including creating new candidate and company profiles in ATS and CRM.
  • Conduct thorough screenings and assessments of candidates to determine their suitability for the proposed role. Evaluate candidates' technical skills, leadership, cultural fit, and alignment with clients' needs, values, and goals.
  • Produce candidate submission aligning the candidate to the search engagement for submittal to internal partners and clients.
  • Maintain constant communication with internal partners pertaining to potential candidates and search engagement progress.
  • Closely monitor and adjust daily priorities to meet activity goals and committed results.
  • Utilize the firm's various systems to track and report activities, capitalize on follow-up opportunities, and manage the search engagements.
  • Develop and present weekly internal and client metrics.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and internal partners.
  • Schedule interviews between candidates and clients, including travel arrangements, as needed, directly through providers and a travel platform.
  • Connect regularly with candidates in process to provide clear information and updates regarding the search progress and their candidacy.
  • Inform candidates that are disqualified in a timely and tactful manner, maintaining the relationship for future opportunities.
  • Attend reoccurring 1x1 touch bases and development calls, recruiter and research meetings, firmwide training, and monthly company lunches.
  • Be a brand ambassador for the firm by actively reposting and engaging with M+B social posts via LinkedIn.
  • Nurture active candidate relationships with the purpose of growing a strong professional referral network as well as expanding the M+B footprint to develop follow-on opportunities for the firm.

Skills + Requirements

  • 5+ years of executive recruiting experience and/or a combination of corporate recruiting, staffing and sales or business development.
  • Experience recruiting executive and middle management level of an organization.
  • Experience working in a metricsdriven organization.
  • Proven successin meeting deadlinesand completing projectson-time.
  • Skilled at working autonomously but as part of a collaborative, interdependent team.
  • Strategic thinker who can formulate and execute on tactical elements to meet short and long-term goals.
  • Solid business acumen with a firm foundational understanding of corporate environments and related functional areas (Executive Management, Finance + Accounting, Operations, Information Technology, Human Resources).
  • Highly articulate with polished communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Must be adept with tools and technologies such as LinkedIn, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word), and CRM or ATS tools.
  • Ability to think creatively and formulate "outside the box" solutions to challenges.
  • Focused on the importance of prioritization, details, data integrity, and time management.
  • Skilled at managing, building candidate relationships, and completing tasks through a CRM.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited institution.
