Job Details: General Notes Marketing and Communications is the creative and marketing team for Texas Global, showcasing the depth and breadth of the University's global engagement activities across campus and abroad, supporting the mission of the University and enhancing its reputation around the world through strategic messaging and brand positioning.
Purpose Graduate student with experience in graphic design and information system management. Ideal candidate is creative, organized, and detail-oriented. This position will provide design and asset organization support to the Marketing and Communications team.
Responsibilities - Follow a process for updating materials (web and print) for updating published data and infographics on a regular schedule, using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Canva, and basic website management skills.
- Maintain naming conventions and folder organization for shared files in UTBox. Edit, tag, update metadata, rename, organize, and archive Texas Global photography library in Image Relay.
- Provide support in regular review and maintenance of the team's internal resources, including our project management software, employee intranet (Wiki), and branded merchandise inventory, organization, and delivery.
- Support the social media and design team with data storytelling or infographic design and other general graphic design/multimedia support as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree with major coursework in graphic design, advertising, visual arts, or a related field and at least two years of experience in design or communications.
Demonstrated proficiency in current version of Adobe Create Suite, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), and Canva (Pro).
Experience designing with brand standards.
Excellent organization and time management, written and oral communication, and problem-solving skills.
This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications Advanced proficiency in Adobe Create Suite, Microsoft Office, and Canva.
Experience working with a Digital Asset Management System.
Experience proofreading and editing for visual style consistency.
Experience working in a marketing/design/creative services department.
Experience traveling, studying or working abroad.
Experience working with international populations.
Advanced proficiency in a foreign language.
Salary Range $20.00 an hour
Working Conditions Standard office environment.
