Inside Sales Representative – Guilford Hall Brewery

Position Summary:
Guilford Hall Brewery is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to support and grow our customer base through proactive sales outreach and exceptional service. This role focuses on managing incoming and outgoing sales activity via our online ordering portal and supporting day-to-day operations that ensure a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Sales & Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for online orders through the Guilford Hall Brewery ordering portal.
Proactively call and email current and prospective customers to encourage portal usage and/or schedule meetings for outside sales reps.
Educate customers on portal features and benefits to improve order accuracy and frequency.
Order Management
Review, process, and monitor incoming orders, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up.
Provide product recommendations, pricing information, delivery schedules, and quantity discount details.
Become well-versed in our product offerings, including Guilford Hall and Flying Fish brands.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with brewing, sales, marketing, accounting, and logistics teams to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly.
Escalate any issues that require immediate resolution.
Participate in weekly sales and distribution meetings (Monday AM) and Friday sales calls.
Account Management & Compliance
Maintain and update customer account records, including contact information, sales tax IDs, and liquor license verification.
Support the accounting team by ensuring data is correctly integrated across systems (QuickBooks, Fintech, Ekos).
Manage collections and follow up on overdue accounts.
Secure and maintain ABRA licenses for deliveries into Washington, D.C.
Notify drivers and sales reps of any account issues or delinquencies.
Invoice & Delivery Oversight
Review and adjust invoices daily based on prior-day deliveries, including updates for keg returns.
Handle customer service follow-ups for delivery issues or incorrect orders.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service and follow-up abilities
Proven ability to drive proactive sales and upselling
Proficiency with computers and online sales platforms
Experience in alcohol/beverage sales strongly preferred
Working knowledge of the beer industry, including delivery logistics and compliance
Familiarity with Guilford Hall Brewery and Flying Fish brands is a plus
