Job Description

Legal Recruiting Manager – Prestigious Law Firm

Overview:

Our client, a top-tier law firm with a distinguished reputation, is seeking a Legal Recruiting Manager to lead their attorney recruitment efforts. This pivotal role will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of legal hiring—from sourcing and onboarding associates (entry-level and lateral) to overseeing the summer associate program and supporting partner recruitment initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with firm leadership, hiring partners, and external recruiters to execute talent strategies aligned with the firm's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive full-cycle recruitment for associates and law students, while assisting with partner-level hiring.
  • Serve as a primary liaison with legal search firms and coordinate interviews and candidate communication.
  • Lead law school outreach initiatives, including on-campus interviews (OCI), job fairs, and student events.
  • Oversee the summer associate program—managing evaluations, work assignments, mentoring, and events.
  • Maintain and update applicant tracking systems and produce recruiting analytics and reports.
  • Build and nurture relationships with law schools, alumni networks, and professional associations.
  • Collaborate with marketing and alumni teams to enhance engagement and branding.
  • Develop and monitor recruiting budgets, ensuring alignment with firm objectives.
  • Support additional strategic initiatives as directed by firm leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal recruiting experience within a law firm setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong judgment and ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion.
  • Knowledge of legal market trends and proficiency with Microsoft Office and recruiting platforms.
