Job Description:

Must have special interest in working with older adults and the aging population. Promote ongoing activities for residents that meet emotional, physical and spiritual needs.

Duties include:

• Assist with an assessment of each resident according to their background, activity interests, abilities, physical limitations, and needs for meaningful activity programs
• Conduct one to one activities and group activities as directed by supervisor.
• Assist at special events as directed by supervisor.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be willing to learn CPR when classes are available.
• Must be willing to attend dementia training classes as requested and as applicable to job position.
• Aptitude and training in arts and crafts; knowledge of tools, paints and stains.
• Ability to communicate via written and verbal word.
• Desire and capability of working with small and large groups and with residents one-on-one.

Schedule:

• Thurs, Fri, and Sat - some Sundays, holidays or occasional evenings required for special events or as needed

• Requires Flexibility to occasionally coordinate/trade schedules with other Team Members that work Mon, Tues, and Wed
