Mid-Am Building Supply offers a competitive wage and benefit package including a base salary plus commissions, bonuses, and a company vehicle! Benefits begin after 60 days of employment, we have three employer sponsored medical plan offerings including an HSA, dental, vision, flexible spending, company paid life insurance, paid long-term and short-term disability, PTO, paid holidays, and 401k program with employer match.

We are currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative for Kansas City area territory. Base pay of $70,000, plus Commissions, Bonus and Company Paid Car. This opportunity comes with unlimited earnings potential earned through commissions for experienced sales history in building materials industry!

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve territory sales targets.
  • Identify and qualify new leads through various channels including networking, referrals, and cold calling.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the building materials industry, with the ability to organize time and identify key selling opportunities.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Familiarity with lead generation techniques and territory management.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must have a valid driver license.
