\nOperates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions.
\nPerforms a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
\nUses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.\n\n \n\n Qualifications:
\nEducation:
\nAssociate's Degree in radiologic technology\n\n \n\n Certification Requirements:
\nRegistered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
\nRadiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
\nAdvanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
\nBasic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
\nFluoroscopy license in state of employment: Preferred in CA and OR Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) or ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Required \n\n \n\n Experience:
\nAssesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
\nProduces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
