Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: As a CDL (B) Roll Off Driver, you will play a crucial role in safely operating collection trucks and delivering exceptional waste removal services to customers. Your responsibilities will include ensuring your vehicle meets safety standards and following all regulatory requirements while providing prompt and courteous service.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation inspections of your vehicle, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and safety equipment to identify any issues. Safely operate heavy trucks on designated routes and service each customer as indicated on route sheets and by your dispatcher. Use manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of collected waste at the appropriate facilities. Engage courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure all routes are serviced efficiently and professionally. Identify and appropriately tag unsatisfactory waste containers as per departmental procedures. Monitor waste for any prohibited items continuously. Cleans areas around any accidental spills, following all safety standards. Maintain the operational readiness of your vehicle by routinely cleaning waste from the truck’s packer blade and body. Complete required productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs), and other necessary documentation accurately and timely. Meet department productivity standards to ensure all customers are serviced effectively. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures at all times. Actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program. Other job-related duties as assigned by management. Deliver excellent customer service to meet and exceed customer expectations in a courteous manner. Use effective time management skills to complete responsibilities efficiently and safely. Exhibit good follow-through by adhering to work schedules and addressing challenges promptly. Comply with Company policies and safety standards to mitigate risks. Maintain pride in your work and strive to achieve all assigned goals.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Possession of a Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License with air brakes endorsement.
