Catalent's Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses. The site provides a range of integrated services for oral solid dosage forms, from formulation development and analytical testing to clinical and commercial-scale manufacture. The Kansas City facility is a Center-of-Excellence for our Biologics Analytical Services business. Our talented team has over 25 years of experience providing analytical services for stand-alone and integrated biologics projects.

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring an Environmental Health and Safety Intern. The EH&S Intern is responsible for assisting the Kansas City, Missouri site Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) team with daily activities. The Intern will help maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines and Catalent's Global EHS and programs, policies and procedures.

This is a part-time hourly position: Monday Friday, flexible outside of core business hours 9am-3pm. PLEASE NOTE: this is part time (20-30 hours/week) from January-May 2025, and full-time during the summer while not taking classes.

The Role:

  • Assist EHS in building safety cultural elements and participating in the site
  • Green Team and Safety Engagement Committee
  • Assist in incident investigations & root cause analysis
  • Support development of the site industrial hygiene programming elements
  • Assist the evaluation of the site contractor safety program
  • Assist EHS with site sustainability initiatives to meet global Catalent sustainability goals
  • All other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Must be an undergraduate or graduate student in Occupational, Safety & Health
  • Science, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field of study
  • Eligible to legally work in the United States
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during summer 2025 while not in classes, and must be able to work part-time (20-30 hours/week) from January-May 2025
  • Physical requirements: Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds; ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, and co-workers. Regular use of telephone and email. Hearing, vision, and speaking within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and fax machines. Good reasoning ability is important. Able to understand and utilize management reports, memos, and other documents to conduct business.
